Yes, the bigger question is why anyone is buying a 3G android phone from Verizon at this point, when you can get an LTE phone for as little as $50 with more data? Could it be that nearly half of Android sales are in the sub$50 market segment? I knew that Android was gaining share by going downmarket, but I'm surprised that the mix is so heavily weighed towards the low end rather than the mid tier. Anyway, my concern about the sustainability of Apple's business model has always been their competitiveness in the high end, and I see no sign of erosion in that market in these numbers.
