based on stockhouse, as i remember it, i think i can clear up some
of the confusion about deep mining rights for pdg.
in 1944, a law was passed in venz forbidding the private use of dynamite in mining. the cuntry did not want individuals running around with high expolosives in their possession. basically, you
can mine as much as you want, but you can not use dynamite. obviously, this limits you to alluvial deposits.
now about pdg and lc4&6, the ministry of energy and mines
granted the venezuelan guyana corporation authority over both
alluvial and hard rock deposits. this means that the cvg can give
permission to its partners to mine hard rock deposits, over designated properties within the purview of the cvg. thus minca,
the joint venture partnership of the cvg and the pdg, can use
explosives.
