Chip, I don't believe that you base your decisions only on your chart interpretation, because you change them as well. You said that CREAF was going to 18, yet you closed out your short early, not waiting for it to get there. (Though we have no evidence that you really did, as you didn't post in advance that you were closing it out - only after the fact, and you refuse to provide proof.)
Seems to me the difference between you and me is that when I change my mind, I say that I have changed my mind, while you claim retroactively it was "in the charts" all the time.
However, I don't really consider it "changing my mind". One CANNOT predict the future - only weigh projected probabilities. You CANNOT set a sell point in advance, because conditions (indeed the charts themselves) are constantly changing, and require continuous reevaluation. You cannot simply look at a static chart on date X and know that the right time to sell will be on date Y in the future. You won't know that until you get to date Y, or at least perhaps have a better idea at date X+n.
In any case, basing trading decisions solely on charts is foolish. However, if you so choose, good luck to you, Chip!
I provided detailed reasons for my decisions. How about doing the same? |
