The Apple effect:

So if I understand this correctly Iphone 4S went on sale in 21 new countries Jan 13th, 2012. Guidance for Q2 is 32 million with one less week in current Quarter. That is 356K per day needed to hit 32 million for Q2. If you use last Quarter calculation "roughly" that would be 412K per day in the Christmas quarter to hit 37million. So 69 countries contributed to 37 million and now we have 90 countries active in sales. So lets say now the Christmas are inflated due to holiday buying frenzy and take 100,000 away from current marketed countries sales per day for Q2 estimates.

412,000-100,000 = 312,000 per day from current marketed countries

312,000 times 90 days = 28 million with current countries for Q2

now add in 21 new country launch and lets say they produce roughly just 200,000 sales "per country" total for iphone 4S.

Total iphone sales for Q2 = 4.2 million in 21 new country sales plus 28 million current marketed sales gets 32 million plus phones.

I think this is very low. :)

Thoughts?
