Hi investor0329,
you seem to be the only other Quotes Plus user, who wants to keep fundamental scan possibilities and plotting/evaluation in Excel.
I spent some hours online in order to find a replacement, but so far nothing equal. Of course Reuters offers something but they hide the details and their offers are numberless and most likely priceless: search.thomsonreuters.com*&output=xml_no_dtd&num=20 BTW my guess is, that QuotesPlus got its data from Reuters and Reuters payed out QP in order to take over some of its customers or they charged too much in terms of fees. I would be really glad if Gary Lyben would give some information about what happened. He used to be very helpful and friendly when on the hotline. I learned some days ago, that he was the owner of QuotesPlus.
There is "QuantShare" an analysis prog, which allows for plugins, one of which is fundamental data. I installed the prog and the plugin and ran it but seems not to work (in my hands).
"StockPup" offers Excel worksheets for free download for DJI30 and S&P100 stocks, which is too little and can not be scanned first place. For a fee you get some mor S&P stocks.
Last not least there is a fundamental downloader on www.trading-tools.com/mld.htm. This one works and gathers a lot of fundamental information but is still a beta. The description is claiming, that it plots the data into MS Access. Yet Access is not started internally and there are absolutely no informations, how one should proceed with Access. If finally the data were in Access, perhaps one could transfer them into Excel. Screening in Excel could be feasible I guess.
"EODDATA" claims to deliver also fundamental data, but there are only some 5 items and no database like in QuotesPlus but only a datastream as to one had to do the database storage and screening on one's own.
