Estimates Plunge on the Marcellus Shale

A headline on page C4 of yesterday's WSJ.

"U.S. Energy Officials have cut their natural-gas-resource estimates..............

....also predicted oil will reach $146 a barrel in 2035................

.........Despite the downward revision........ EIA officials say the U.S. will produce more natural gas than it needs in coming years and will likely become a net exporter of natural gas by 2021........

[yeah LNG <g>}

.....the EIA said it thinks thee are about 480 trillion cubic feet of shale gas in the US, down from earlier estimates of 830 trillion cubic feet........... "
