I like art that looks like something. Art by Monte Dolack, Rie Munoz, Terry Redlin, Charles M. Russell and so forth.

I see depictions of art galleries in movies and TV shows, and the people who ware oohing and aahing are looking at 'art', supposedly. But the hangings look like somebody ran over paint with a motorcycle or dropped a can of paint off a roof, which I've done from time to time myself.

I once saw a very large painting for sale for thousands, and it consisted of two shades of yellow: a lighter shade surrounded by a darker shade in the shape of an old style TV screen.

What is it with this stuff? Does the champagne they're drinking make it so appealing or are they just stupid?

No offense, but I just don't get it.

you really know art
