He was All-American in 1961,1962,1963,1964,1965,1966 and he dropped out in his sophomore to join the Army. (:>)The BEAR took good care of his players. I'm still amazed that the NCAA didn't catch on to Forrest and his box of chocolates.
Actually, there is no Greenbow but the shrimp boat scenes in the movie are typical scenes around Bayou Labattre, Alabama. The author of the book was from Alabama. Great book and even greater movie in my unbiased opinion.
