Having lost power for several days in the past, you get used to being without that. Losing power makes life a bit more complicated, if you have a well. We initiated the process yesterday to get a hand pump installed on ours. There are 2 kinds of manual pumps readily available here. One is good to 40', the other for several hundred feet. We have to measure the water level to determine which pump to buy and how much stainless steel pipe we need.
