These Rs just hate energy conservation....................

They won't hesitate to hurt an american icon company just to prove that obama;s intervention didn't spark the revival of the american auto industry...I saws this interview on CNBC this morning...the CEO of Autonation...a republican...here's what he said speaking to that shit head joe kiernan....

Al

But I would say this, joe. As an american, I feel very strongly that it's important that america still make things. And one of the most complex products in the world is in automobile. And the engineering talent and the engineering capital that goes into it and the high-skilled jobs around this industry, it would have been a travesty for america to lose it and have it swept away. So for me to see this industry not only survive but to be transformed and to thrive like never before in a global competitive economy -- >> that was going to be the devil's advocate question. Seeing some of the products and how the automakers got in the position where they were left in the first place after the assault from japan, why do you think it's not going to happen again? And are our products going to be able to keep pace with the engineering coming out of hyundai and japan? >> So this is a genuine transforming. And as a republican, it pains me to say it took a government intervention and a government task force to finally put the stake in draculas heart of the production push bankrupt business model that the american manufacturers have.

So I think there -- I think it really is a genuine transformation. Everybody knows the end of the story of production push. It's oblivion. It's bankruptcy. Because at the ends of the day, production push, you undermine the resale value of your products. You pull the rug out from underneath existing customers that drive them away. And it's a downward spiral.
