maybe, slacker, they are doing the DRAM appraoch to MEMS. Relating back to DRAMS in semiconductor fabs, they used to run Drams at break even so that they filled up teh fab, drove yeilds down, kept the work force in place, and allowed them to not lose moeny, but wait for the higher margin SOC and ASIC jobs that came thru.

Perhaps someone got a great idea of a coopertive process that can be run on the line to fill it up and allow them to amortize the costs even if Mirasol has not yet reached high volume production. If they are not in the PV solor business, but are just selling cell capacity on teh side, then this is sound FAB management.

Now the worst that could happen is that they become JUST a PV suplier or think they control or win this industry and take it too seriusly, which is a losing business overall.

Makes sense to me if this is what they are doing. Worth a question at the ASM ......
