Actually, I was precisely right twice in last few months, on gold, and very profitably so. And also right 3 years in a row so far on 31 Dec gold price. And also right on the gold prices as predicted about 8 years ago in the event of financial panicking and no doubt on the money too in the event of US$ replacement, which I have been predicting for 30 years and actively working on.

Holding a big stash of cash has been a big no-no for me for 30 years because governments dilute quickly. But I still hold some cash sometimes because it's a necessary thing between buying other things. During the early 21st century I held quite a chunk [about 5% of my assets] for a while due to a tax situation and one thing and another [waiting for currency declines to come right].

Gold will not be money. Though plenty of people will try to make it so and some will perhaps actually do so.

For most people, it will be irrelevant to their lives.
