I think you guys are a little ahead of yourselves with RB/FLC being the suitor for MDCO. I see them first completing the merger and getting their ship in order before going out on a spending spree. Now, as far as other companies in the acquiring mode: This is taken from DO's recent quarterly:

The Company is continually considering potential transactions, including, but not limited to,enhancement of existing rigs, the purchase of additional rigs, construction of new rigs and the acquisition of other companies engaged in contract drilling

Note..an advantage to owning DO stock is that when it goes down..you can sound just like Homer Simpson!!
