You should go back. If I said the 2001 recession was severe it would be easy to quote me, but you can't since I didn't.

No one said Bush caused the first recession.

No one (at least no one in this conversation, you didn't I didn't and the two people who wrote what we quoted did not) said Bush caused the first recession, but Sullivan structured his claims as if Bush caused the first one. He gave Bush "credit" for all the job losses of both recessions. He also claimed a positive job total for Obama, when the reality was negative. He contradicted the simple facts on the issue.

However, he did cause the second one.

No he didn't.
