Inode, > Clinton sexually assaulted a near-teenager then lied about it under oath.

Last time I checked, the "Lewinsky" was consensual. Liberals will "forgive" Clinton for lying about an embarrassing affair under oath.

Meanwhile, Gingrich cheats on his dying wives, then goes after Clinton for the Lewinsky scandal. (But at least he didn't lie about it under oath, AMIRITE?)

Now he feels "compelled" to seek God's forgiveness. That's what Bentway would call "cheap forgiveness." And he would be right.

I'm not in a position to decide whether Gingrich will indeed be forgiven by God, but as for me, I won't trust the guy. And not just because of his affairs, but because of every instance of him betraying fellow conservatives and tossing out conservative ideals whenever it doesn't suit his political career.
