Hi Mike,
sfgate.com
Billionaire Bashing
100 sites on Internet devoted to hating Gates
Bill Gates may be the world's richest man, but he is Public Enemy No. 1 on the Internet.
Online assaults are a growing phenomenon on the Internet, which is increasingly becoming a town hall of societal opinion. There are sites that rip Barney, the Spice Girls, Tori Spelling and Madonna. But none of the sites are as vitriolic as the anti-Gates sites.

Most of them fixate on three topics: Gates' personal $38.6 billion fortune, Microsoft's aggressive business tactics and the quality of the company's software.

Psychiatrists say people who put up and visit the sites are envious, fascinated and intimidated by Gates.

WHERE TO BASH GATES ON THE WEB

-- ''Bill Gates@NBC: It's Must C:/TV (www.cais.com/aschnedr/gates.htm)
lampoons the peacock network's Thursday night lineup with Gates appearing as a guest star in NBC shows. See Bill fire Dr. Doug Ross (George Clooney) from ''ER''; watch Bill fire Jerry Seinfeld from his own show; see Bill fire Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) from the set of ''Friends.'' Well, you get the idea.

-- ''Punch Bill Gates'' (www.well.com/user/vanya/bill.html)
lets you throw an unlimited number of haymakers at Chairman Bill -- without fear of him gobbling up your business or driving it into the ground. Click on the mouse and let 'em have it.

-- ''AlexWarp'' (http://205.243.221.9/game.html)
contains ''image-warping'' technology that lets you push and pull Gates' face like a piece of silly putty.

-- ''Which Bill Has More Influence in Your Life?'' (www.mitchellware.com/mitchell/home/fred/politics/vote_for_bill.htm)
lets you vote on which Bill -- Gates or Clinton -- should be president. Surprisingly enough, Gates is leading 40 percent to 27 percent -- although 32 percent voted for ''Neither.''

-- ''Why Bill Gates Is Richer Than You'' (www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/philg/humor/bill-gates.html)
prominently displays a ''personal wealth clock'' that calculates Gates' net worth several times a day. As of yesterday afternoon, it was $38.6 billion, based on Microsoft's closing stock price of $136.88 per share.

Oops, This might be too funny for the "No Humour" thread. Sorry
