Living here on the west coast most of my life, and because he lost the nomination to McCain in '08 I never vetted Romney and had never heard of the Damon company, so I guess there is at least one person who has now been more informed.

I understand your surprise that the subject would come up though. Since it happened several yrs ago, I assumed people knew that Newt Gingrich was exonerated of all ethics violations when he was in congress, and that the $300,000. he paid wasn't a fine but a reimbursement for costs?

But then again..............with the help of the establishment, 60 minutes did their best hit piece possible on him when the charges were brought, but being who they are and considering their agenda, of course they never did run a piece that showed he'd been exonerated.

The media are a strange and dangerous animal. g
