Bultmann also as well as Rheinhold Niebuhr. I'm a bit surprised you read Bultmann since his main work was on rethinking exegesis within both contemporary philosophy in general and contemporary hermeneutics (how to read historical documents). But Niebuhr was another dominant figure, particularly in social ethics. My own personal favorite at this level was Niebuhr's brother Richard. en.wikipedia.org
