Ok, minor nit. Hadrian was the Roman emperor who built that wall in England. Hadrons are subatomic particles affected by the strong force. CERN in Geneva is the site of the Large Hadron Collider. It turns out there are many Max Planck Institutes, mostly in Germany, a few in other European countries, one to open in Florida. The one most involved with Physics is in Munich. The Max Planck Society, originally the Kaiser Wilhelm Society , seems to be sort of the NSF of Germany, but nominally non-governmental. It was renamed post-WII.
