Before unions in the early 1900's workers were treated like animals to be used and discarded. Irt was a brutal and horrible time for workers. They were treated worse than farm workers are today. People had to fight like hell in the 1930's for unions and you dismiss all their blood and tears. How is that working out in Asia where they have few unions?? In the south where there are few unions workers make a lot less than in northern unions states. And the south is the poorest part of the country.
