Before unions in the early 1900's workers were treated like animals to be used and discarded. Irt was a brutal and horrible time for workers. They were treated worse than farm workers are today. It was unions who brought us a five day work week, fair pay, and an end to the company store, and safety rules

You should know that.

<<Exxon can afford to pay a fair wage

A fair wage is the market clearing wage for your skills and abilities.>>

Terrible myth!

That is exactly what the large corporations want you to believe, so they can pay you as little as they want, and you are falling for it. When you have times of high unemployment people will work for slave wages are corporations will pay that if not forced to pay higher.

People had to fight like hell in the 1930's for unions and you dismiss all their blood and tears.

How is that working out in Asia where they have few unions?? Sweatshops are the norm just as they used to be in western nations in the 1800,1900's and before we had unions.

What Charles Dickens wrote about.

In the south where there are few unions workers make a lot less than in northern unions states. And the south is the poorest part of the country.
