LB, The problem with Viable on it's own outside the womb and the law is that science keeps changing the concept of viability and the law cannot keep up. As critical as the 'center' may be about conception based right to lifers, the far left is in favor of 3rd trimester abortions which are illegal in most western societies (the dreaded partial birth abortion procedure). Like the definition of marriage - this issue is at the crossroads of religion and secular politics and there are no reasonable voices here. Sigh....
