This whole business of how a society goes about demonizing someone

that it would like to destroy (that means kill, in human terms) is a fascinating one to watch. If you recall the Bush-Cheney orchestrated march to the destruction of Saddam, you will recall a sequence of supporting arguments in the process of demonization. There is a build-up of energy in this process, and a source that initiates and catalyzes the energy conversion process into that which tries to achieve its aim.

Whenever a society goes to war and needs to kill someone, it goes through this process so that it can absolve itself psychologically. In this process "fact" takes on a strange character, and the "reality" that the world is our dream begins to show itself even more than at other times.

The truth of anything ....even simple things .... may be or is hard to know.
