Manias run for a long time and the initial stages are also part of the mania.
Creative definition, but it has little to do with the one in the dictionary.

Nicely done on the yearly predictions, but no points for not actually buying & holding in substantial quantities and blowing QCOM returns etc. into the weeds. Your decision though.

I won't go into my total returns since I became a full time investor again in 2004 - I'm not into BSD (Big Swinging Dick) games.

No points for the insinuation about my holding substantial gold or silver through the 80s or 90s, or that I think that gold alone is a savior.

Therefore you do think that holding GLD and NEM shares is "holding physical gold"
Wrong again.
Illustrative again that you use 'physical' one way above and the other way in the next quote. Please make up your mind and be more consistent.

Thanks for clearing it up that you think holding GLD and NEM shares rather than actual physical gold is drain bamaged.
No points yet again, and you still need glasses or apparently something a *lot* stronger. To repeat it again, what I said was "Only dain bramaged paper worshipers don't have substantial physical gold, silver...".

In plain English, in my opinion 'paper' gold (whether ETFs or futures or stocks or whatever) is ok for trading or shorter term games - after one has substantial actual physical ownership.
But it's up to the individual, and not subject to pronunciamentos.
