I notice that one of the two VI's on this thread continues to disgrace the mind Nature gave him by making the most asinine cut and pastes and by deriving absurd meaning from these pastes suitable to the comprehension level of a primary school child! As I am waiting for a massive photo scan and listening to a lecture, I thought I would quickly go over the idiocy.

Nobody understands anything perfectly.

1) No gods worth having exist;

Evolution has NOTHING to do with such a premise! The FACTS of Evolutionary Science evidence that the dogma written and proselytized in our major churches are indeed falsehood and myth. But these facts are not the purpose or intent of Evolutionary Science. They are merely facts that happen to flow from the evidence.

2) no life after death exists;

There is no evidence for any life after death and the idea seems absurd. Nevertheless, Evolution makes no claims in that regard.

3) no ultimate foundation for ethics exists;

LOL! I don't know what that is supposed to mean, but human life and happiness have ALWAYS been the foundational basis for human ethics. People do not exist and interact for the purpose of some farmer fattening us up. We are not COWS!

We do not need Farmer Brown to put up fences to tell us where we may go. We can build our own fences. We don't need Farmer Brown to tell us the best way to meet our goals of life and happiness. We solve these problems as we solve how to cross the ocean or how to go to the moon. Generally speaking we try not to hurt our own species because hurting others does not normally meet our objectives for feeling wonderful and good. You don't feel wonderful and good with a rope around your neck or a knife in your back! :-)

5) "human free will is nonexistent."

Another non sequitor. Evolution makes no claims on question of philosophy.
