You believe the quality of the Kyobo is no better than the demonstrated product. I have the impression you did not see the demo. I'm puzzled as to the basis for such faith.

There is some symmetry to our experience. I've not seen the Kyobo yet. My impression is based on a number of reviews. Here are comments by you about your Kyobo:

Mirasol is not as good as LCD but more than adequate given a well lit environment. http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=27901417

With sufficent lighting, the display is an excellent still image reading device. http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=27908872

We also have lots of big windows which certainly helps during the day. Mirasol is not as good as LCD but more than adequate given a well lit environment. http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=27901417

The demo that I saw (also surrounded by lots of big windows) was much more than adequate, and much better than the Kyobo you described. I am now satisfied with the explanation I received as to why the demo was superior to the production version - touch-screen and higher quality glass.
