I'm puzzled as to the point of your stream of posts.

You are right that I have never seen a demonstration of Mirasol in person. My comparison point there is youtube videos posted by others. I believe those give one a good impression of display quality but I could be wrong. What's your impression of youtube videos compared to seeing the goods live?

My LCD comparison is an ipad2 and desktop display. Adequate, excellent for still images, not as good as LCD are all subjective views taken over different times and situations. Under natural external generated light the screen is quite viewable. Pixel resolution is sharp. Introducing video into the mix, one loses resolution. I assume this is due to a slow pixel refresh rate. Where one needs extra lighting, introducing front lighting is adequate but tends to give off an unnatural bluish tinge. The best way to light the device seems to be with natural light or halogen lighting. Sitting at our dining room table under halogen lighting is as good as being in the sun.

The ipad is better for video and in low light situations where one needs to use front lighting. Under good lighting conditions, I don't find the addition of touch and front lighting which I believe are both being enabled through glass doesn't have a big impact on viewabilty. I initially thought front lighting was chewing up battery and turned it off. Finding that I'm still only getting a few hours of internet usage out of a charge, I now believe it is wifi that is using up most of the battery but I need further playing to be definitive about that matter.

Hope this is clear.
