Ed, A gas turbine needs a delta P from inlet to outlet to drive the spin. When you have combustion you have an expansion in the volume of gas so you have an increased flow volume driven by the delta P. There must be some inlet pressure from which the delta P is derived. Perhaps the power from the Capstone generator could be used to drive a compressor if the gas is not at pressure.

I do not know how the oil from a frack field flows to surface. If it is via pump jack I assume the gas is simply liberated at essentially atmospheric pressure. For that gas to be used to drive a turbine it must be compressed/

There is a lot more to this discussion than simply flowing gas to a turbine.
