No, it wasn't from you.

It was from Michal Daniel, AKA Lahcim Leinad, who doesn't believe you ever sent that check, was furious about it, and decided he would make good on your behalf. I did try to get him not to send it, since he's not responsible for paying your debts, but he insisted. He just hated seeing me get stiffed.

By the way, I spoke to the letter carrier who delivered today's mail, and she said that the lack of an addressee name would not be a problem, so that couldn't have impeded delivery of your check. That's the second carrier to confirm that for me. So there must have been some other problem..

I assume you'll stop payment and try again, right? Here's an idea. I'll hold off cashing Michal's check to give you a chance to do the right thing.
