Nothing more he wanted. He turned down a house just because it got complicated. He did not have a materialistic bone in his body. He gave his nobel money to his ex. He always lived simply. My son in law is a well known PHD chemist and could earn many times what he does in private industry. It never crosses his mind. My daughter is a lawyer (UC Berkeley and Loyola) and she pretty much just stays home and raises the kids. We all try to make a buck like anyone else. But the idea all the scentists are dems so they can get grants is nuts. Besides why can't a Republican get the same grant? It is preposterous idea, and it important to know when things are just plain stupid.
