Do you intentionally misunderstand what I am getting at? Seems I get a lot of that here.

The idea scientists are Democrat's because they want grants is a preposterous idea put forth by people who cannot explain (or face the reality) of why scientists reject the Republican party almost categorically. Only 6% are Republican and 51% call themselves liberal.

And we all know the reason and it is not what bully bob says it is.

And we all know scientists are not loony. That is another silly claim. So why do 80% lean democratic? There is your question. And I think we all know the answer very well!

Being a Scientist is sort of a mindset. You never noticed that? We have a few of them in my family and my cousin is the perfect stereotype. From the time he was a little kid he was collecting bugs. He built a little pond in his back yard. His parents did not want him to go to college, they wanted him to get a job. They thought he ws lazy as he at around and read all day-lol.

He went on to get a PHD in entomology and has written many papers on alpine spiders. They call him spider man. Science was always his main interest and grants having nothing to do with his being a scientist or a Democrat.

One of my daughters is a scientist, and she has always worked in the private sector as a corporate administrator. Hard core liberal Democrat's all.

You must have skipped logic class in that vaunted college education.
