...why would japanese want to do that? in this debacle you had a chance to watch the asians react--malaysia, hong kong, china, taiwan, phillipines, thailand, etc--none of them bought gold!!!!!

........if there is a need for capital in japan the safest thing would be to print lots of yen--the japanese have deflation--they can afford to print lots of money to prop up the banks--there is no worry about inflation. and, to make matters even better--this will increase the value of their treasuries!!!!!

........as the yen decreases in value (testing 125-127) it increases the value of treasuries.

......their market tanks, their bonds are worthless, and they can get 5-6% on treasuries (plus the currency appreciation)--guaranteed!

........sell bonds and buy gold--a deflating asset--forget it!!!!
