Are you referring to Guth's use of the word "perp?" It stands for "perpetrator;" I see it in cop shows all the time, and don't believe it to be offensive.

Even if it were, I believe Sly has consistently and succesfully argued that stereotypes and hate speech is on topic, as long as it targets a class of people rather than an individual.
