I agree that the scope of the actual Greek crisis is small in comparison to other events. It is the perceived stability of the EU and the Euros that is more the issue. If they can't solve this minor issue, then the perception is they can't solve the bigger issues like Italy and France.

Keep in the US deficit and debt will hit peoples radar once the European crisis is solved. In actuality the US has just as serious a problem. The difference is right now that people perceive that they can get out of it. Whether that is true or not given the political environment is another story. Like Greece the government is disfunctional when it comes to makes hard decisions.
