Bob, some routine events which you may or may not have noticed:
when the data processing function (qp_proc.exe ?) unzips the eod file, it places six prototypes in the 'incoming' subdirectory, then processes them. After the GPF tonight, those six are in there.

I made an extra directory, pulled the six into it, then dropped them into incoming one at a time and clicked the update icon. The bad prototype file is the 900K file with extension .chg. That is the only one which triggered the GPF. Price and volume data, master file changes, dividends, and index quotes went smoothly.

A wild guess is that I am now without split and symbol change info for 11/21 until I can get a good .chg file.
