Hitler was not a socialist. That is one of the worst revisionist myths ever, perpetuated daily by modern fascists like (Dr.) Michael Savage who is ironically apoplectic about the decline of market share of white births. (Yeah, I listen.) Explain to me how Hitler, who was anti-labor union and anti-bolshevik especially the anti-semetic "Jewish-Bolshevik, was a socialist. The term "socialist" was not connected to anything that we think of as socialism in an intelligent context today. Its one of those "words" that has become a vulger boogeyman to scare people who don't know Keynes from Madonna. On second thought, don't worry about it. You are set in your good vs. evil right-left exceptionalist worldview anyway, and these discussions end up in flame wars and calling each other NAZI's -- I would prefer to move back to discussing evolution vs. creationism and the son of creationism, intelligent design if that's okay with you, you can have the last word on this if you want it.
