<< For myself, I've still got APCC, AMAT, MU (gulp?), SVGI, TNCR, and TER.>>

This is a bit eerie, as I have had (until recently) all the above in my portfolio as well - plus a few others. I took some profits in AMAT last month and am waiting to buy back below 23. I took huge loss in MU and am now trying to make $ in it with puts. So far, I'm down a little, but I have until Oct 19 to be proven wrong <g>.

My best success story this year has been ERICY, which I think is in great shape and in a great business.

I've taken a beating on LRCX, and may reduce my exposure this coming week if it rallies up to the 25 area again.

Re Tencor, I think it just needs time - perhaps 2-3 quarters before it gets back over 20 and stays over.

I'm concerned about the first year in presidential term tendency to be flat or down, especially coming off record highs. Garzelli blew her call short term, but I wouldn't bet against her over the next 12 months! It could get real ugly. I'm hoping that if it does, stocks like Tencor will hold up somewhat (considering how far they have already fallen from their highs), but who knows?
