Ray,
Didn't realize you were using Q+ :-) Think you will soon get used to and like the r2 syntax. Glad to help, as are many on the thread.

Gary has further changed it in the new beta--learn it and move effortlessly on to C :)

I seldom used println in r1, and then only to output left-justified columns.
-like Println Symbol:-10, SIC:-5, MarketCap:7:1.
Need the commas in r2 in order to sort the list by column.

Checked and the ,"", in < Println Symbol,"",",", " B Hammer , ",close(0):7:3 > is acceptable and gives output OK for r2. Maybe your margins are added when you paste the file into SI--matters not, they are easy enough to remove.

I'll give your home-grown candlestick scans a try. Quite a few of the patterns are hard-coded into WOW and especially MSWIN, but I never really got around to using them.
Because IMO QuotesPlus (especially r2) has such a nice feel to it, I tend to use it more and more relative to MetaStock.

Bob
