peter, i am late to this thread so i wonder just what i am missing here. why all of the excitement about the block trades? it looks like the institutional holders are trying to exit their positions as quickly as possible. i assume all of you have read under 'goats' from the following url, fool.yahoo.com. this pretty much seals the fate of applied magnetics. never seen such a classic case of just when a pe of 4.5 is definitely not a bargain. my guess is that the next big news will indicate an 80% cut in earings. suggesting furthur declines in price. unless the management can pull of an extrordinary coup, the price may well halve within 6 months. ray
