sec.gov Obviously he does not just steal ideas, the port is a mixture of high quality, safe value, and some obscure things. JC Penny is an Ackman pick I think, seems to be betting on the jockey with Berkley and Buffett, some tiny NC banks. I have noticed there are plenty of very small and medium-small (ca 1 billion) banks that are under book, net-nets, with good capital ratios etc and no lawsuits. They are not as cheap as BAC, but also do not have the problems and would probably be satisfactory investments, a case of not needing to make the game any harder than necessary. It helps with the research if they are local. One I have thought about is FBNC.
