BZ, I think that is a valid point.... Seems simple enough but it is true, with WCOM/MCI deal approved(if), then PSIX becomes #2 player, so forget about their earnings, forget how many corporate customers they have, IMHO it is the backbone that makes them invaluable.....
You can't tell me that Bernie hasn't taken a glance at PSIX, whether it was before or after UUNET or before or after MCI....PSIX becomes more valuable not so much because of anything they did, but because of the consolidation around them. Don't know what kind of number they would fetch, though I have read on this thread of a price somewhere near 1 billion or more. While I would love that as a current shareholder, the number seems ridiculous, IMHO .5 billion seems a much more realistic number.
But regardless of if and when a buyout occurs, I still like the action that management is taking, although I wonder what they have been doing for the past year as their share price has stalled.
I am new to this thread, so apologies if some of my info. is incorrect or wrongly worded. It's been fun reading your thread, and nice to see that you have so many who regularly post with such good contributions. Thanks, cg |
