I see the attempts to develop scientific explanations for software to be wish-fulfillment.

we should all acknowledge the possibility that natural processes could have created the software of life.

Or have you ruled out this possibility?

I regard the possibility to be too low in probability to take seriously. Like a million monkeys chained to a million typewriters producing War and Peace. Only less likely.

Francis Crick and Fred Hoyle had a good idea of the problems involved in the origin of life on earth from natural processes and came up with directed and non-directed panspermia as a way round them. When people who don't like the idea of God invent offbeat ideas to get round the possibility, it's a sign of desparation imo. Applies to the multiverse concept too.

This 'have you ruled out the possibility' and we should 'all acknowledge the possiblity' goes two ways, don't you think?
