I notice on blogs, message boards, twitter, etc. that even the small minority of retail traders that are bulls are very nervous and afraid of heights so they turn cautious on every intraday dip. Meanwhile the vast horde or retail trader bears become only become more entrenched with every rally, certain that we are so overbought that THE top must be imminent, and of course on every intraday dip they become giddy with excitement. The only thing I can attribute this to is that the 2008 crash is still burned into their brains and also I think it is reinforced by the constant doom and gloom bombardment from financial media and doomster gurus.
