Zip/Zip+ Technical Question:

I've got a PC with a parallel port Zip; in transferring files with a colleague it seems achingly (sp?) slow [I've done the parallel port accelerator thing].

In reading the specs on Zip+, I understand that it's faster than Zip and that it auto-detects between parallel and SCSI, but is the Zip+ speed the same in the parallel port mode as in the SCSI mode? Or does the unit simply recognize the different interface and work at two different speeds?

Depending on the answer to that question, would I be better off buying a Zip Classic ATAPI IDE internal and save the $100?

Thanks for your input.
