"I still dont know what the right percentage of ones assets to put in ones best idea is." Maybe the Kelly Criterion might be helpful? Can't find where we discussed it back here a few years ago. Seaching internet now, several articles show up. Ex.: distressed-debt-investing.com ============= For myself, I've never done well with "my single best idea". They either don't work out as I expected, took too long to come to fruition (I sold out too soon), or I bet more money than I could live with (and sold too soon). Some timing/anchoring bias too, namely my best idea drops in relative importance over time as I discover "new" best ideas.
