He tried. Your party didn't want to compromise--which after all is the "art" of politics. They chooses to make a stand. Now we see the results.

You know as much as you go on about the "loony" left I could equally go on about the "righteous" right (as opposed to the "rational" right). Both sides have lead our country to the precipice. We are in the position wherein we can help each other climb to safer ground or individually fall and thus collectively topple.

The choice is on both our shoulders.
