when all you got is a hammer - everything looks like a nail. what benchmarks show Windows NT is the fastest platform for running server side applications? are you smoking crack up in Redmond? I guess its easier to say that your the fastest without proving it like Microsoft does. As far as windows being the fastest Java platform - prove it. I guess it always comes down to "we got 90% of the desktops" so whatever we say is true. Plus everyone knows Microsoft is anti-Java no matter how much they claim to support it or say how great a language it is. How long can they produce the best performance as you claim when they are trying to kill it? as far as shipping network computers - Sun has them, IBM has them - customers such as FTD, 1-800 Flowers, Boeing, SAABRE (american airlines) are using them now. Even microsoft has Network computers - 3 of them windows CE, NET PC's, and zero admin servers (actually 2 of them arent shipping - typical microsoft FUD when they know theyve been caught with their pants down). internet.ibm.com sun.com your claims about incompatibility with jvm's are untrue. Its typical microsoft - there is one Java - poisoned Java from Microsoft is Windows NOT Java. Is Java pefect? No - it is less than 900 days since Java was born - there are lots of ways to improve it- Java is the most requested course in demand at universities - developers and corporations are working on Java like crazy - anyone can argue the numbers but that its happening on an unprecedented scale is not. Java the platform is improving so fast its making Bill's head spin - if your an investor and not simply a paid microsoft shill you should take notice of some of this stuff.
