Been lurking around this thread watching some of the bickering going on etc... (Yes, I am in NETZ) A fundamental question on the technology that Echo is trying to sell. I understand the concept of banner advertising on the Web: go to page, ad is there teasing you and cannot be removed, therefore people watch it. However, I have a slight problem with the WYW concept. The ads are shown while you are downloading programs/files etc. Having downloaded stuff from the Web many a time, I personally cruise to some other page while the download is occuring. Are these ads relying on "lazy" users who won't want to continue surfing while the download is occuring? or hoping people don't know that you can multitask w/ IP? Any insight would be appreciated... Hoping and waiting... For now... Jeff
