Oh gawd, surely you're not that naive. Are you?

In days gone past mothers had families of 12 or 15 kids - just because that was the end result of sex. They neither wanted nor could afford families like that.

So the mother - despite your fantasy land is going to have babies. What then? let then starve? Is that the Conservative way? If it was up to me, I'd force sterilize women who had two kids and are on the government dole. Think many conservatives would go along with that?

You really aren't that obtuse, are you?

Women had 12 and 15 kids in days gone past because contraceptives weren't available. It wasn't a case of inconvenience or cost, it was a case of simply not being there.

Condoms are cheap. BCPs are cheap. Diaphragms are cheap. Hell, vasectomies are cheap. Getting tubes tied during a ceasarian section is cheap. The cost of contraceptives is NOT the issue. If you really want to make sure that contraceptives are used as a way to reduce the number of unplanned pregnancies, you are going to have go into the irresponsible couple's bedroom and roll that condom down yourself. That's the only thing that is going to work. And frankly, with the way that liberals feel they need to solve everybody's problems for them, I wouldn't be surprised if you supported that.
