I'm not sure "uproar" is the right word, but generally opposed to this requirement yes.

The ultra sound of the fetus, to my understanding, takes place outside the vagina (think it's on top of the stomach) an already a pro forma medical requirement but not a legal requirement in the case of all abortions. Several states have either recently added or proposed the requirement that the woman be exposed to a viewing of the fetus before undergoing an abortion. The law requiring this in Texas is currently being challenged in federal court.

This vaginal probe thing, to my knowledge, is an additional requirement being proposed and I think, but am not sure, in association with the morning after pill. IF it pass a state legislature it will undoubtedly be litigated as well.
