Overall in Europe health care costs tend to be something like 40 to 70 percent of what they are here. That's not dirt cheap.

My son just broke his arm in Europe and the total bill - because he is not a citizen and has to pay - was$200 bucks.

The price charged for one specific treatment for one person in one place says little about overall costs. Actually it says nothing, since the cost is different than the price. To the extent the government pays for the treatment the price to the consumer is reduced, but the cost is just passed on to others.
